The first six of the above cases have been reported to you in my despatch N. 135 of the 6th June and I have dealt with Mr. Moffatt's case in despatch W. 164 of the 14th July.
Towards the middle of August 3 Indian N. C. O.s and 2 children from the Regiment, which is stationed at Kowloon, contracted the disease. All are still under treatment and progressing favourably and I am happy to say that the disease has not spread any further in the Regiment.

[ Dr Wilm, of the Imperial German Navy, whose services were courteously lent to this Government by Admiral Hoffmann, was in charge of the Plague Hospital at Kennedy Town from the 14th March until his recall to duty within the last few days. He was assisted by Miss McIntosh and
